By downloading, accessing, or using BrainMop (the "app", which includes the Android app and the web version), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
BrainMop is a notes app for Android and the web, provided by DabbleLabs UK – an independent, one-person operation, not a company with a dedicated support or operations team. The core app is free to use, including sync across your devices. Some optional features are offered under a paid plan (see "Paid plan" below). It works offline on your device, and – if you create an account and sign in – syncs your notes across your devices and the web version. BrainMop is an independent project offered as-is and may be changed, limited, or discontinued over time.
You can use BrainMop without an account, in which case your notes stay on your device. To sync across devices you must create an account, using an email and password or by signing in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity that occurs under your account. You must provide an accurate email address so that account functions such as password reset can work. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
Your notes and everything you put in them remain yours. By using the app with an account, you grant DabbleLabs UK the limited permission needed to store, process, transmit, and back up that content for the sole purpose of providing the service to you (for example, syncing it between your devices and showing it in the web app). We do not claim ownership of your content and we do not use it for advertising or sell it. How your content is handled – including where it is physically stored and what an AI assistant can see if you connect one – is described in our Privacy Policy.
You agree not to use BrainMop to store or share content that is unlawful, or that infringes the rights of others, and not to use the service to break the law. You also agree not to misuse the service – for example, by attempting to gain unauthorised access to it, disrupt it, overload it, or interfere with other users. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or these terms.
BrainMop lets you optionally sign in with Google and optionally connect an AI assistant – such as Anthropic's Claude, or any other assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP) – to your notes. A connected assistant can read your whole notebook, including archived and trashed notes, and defaults to read-only access; you can choose to grant it write access instead. Access does not expire on its own and stays in place until you disconnect it. These integrations are your choice, and when you use them, your use of those third-party services is also governed by the relevant provider's own terms and privacy policy. Full detail on what a connected assistant can see and do is in Section 9 of the Privacy Policy.
BrainMop is provided free and on a best-effort basis, run by one person rather than a team, so please set your expectations for support responsiveness and uptime accordingly. We do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption, that sync will always succeed, or that data stored on the server will never be lost. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important. The app itself does not currently have a built-in "export my data" feature; on-device local storage keeps an offline copy for as long as you keep the app installed and signed in, and you can request a full copy of your account data at any time by emailing us (see the Privacy Policy, Section 7). We may modify or discontinue the service, and where reasonably practical we will give notice before discontinuing it.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or continued availability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DabbleLabs UK shall not be liable for any loss of data or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
You may stop using BrainMop at any time, and you may ask us to delete your account and its data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or misuse the service.
BrainMop offers an optional paid plan that adds connecting an AI assistant to your notes and extended version-history retention. You can pay annually or monthly, both as an auto-renewing subscription through PayPal: the annual plan costs £24/year and the monthly plan costs £4.50/month. Paying monthly costs more over a year than paying annually (twelve monthly payments of £4.50 come to £54, against £24 for the annual plan). You approve the subscription with PayPal, PayPal holds your chosen payment method under its own terms, and BrainMop never sees or stores your card or bank details. The subscription renews automatically each period – yearly or monthly, depending on the plan you chose – until you cancel. You can cancel at any time through your PayPal account's subscription settings, or by asking us; either way, cancelling stops future renewals but does not end your current paid period early – your paid features remain active until the end of the period you have already paid for. We activate, renew, and end the paid features on your account automatically based on confirmed notifications from PayPal, with a short grace period around each renewal so a temporarily delayed payment does not interrupt access. Payment is non-refundable except where required by law. We may change the price or the features included in the paid plan on reasonable notice; a change will not affect a period you have already paid for. When the paid plan lapses, whether through cancellation or a failed renewal, your account and all your notes remain fully usable on the free plan – only the paid-only features (AI-assistant access and version history beyond 30 days) become unavailable, and your older version snapshots stop being shown; nothing you have written is deleted as a result of lapsing.
Any donations made are voluntary and non-refundable. Donations do not entitle you to any additional features, support, or services.
The BrainMop app itself – its design, branding, and code – is the property of DabbleLabs UK. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the app or its branding without permission. This does not affect your ownership of the notes and content you create.
DabbleLabs UK may update the app or these terms at any time. The "Last updated" date above will be revised, and continued use of the app after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
